Hudson Institute of Medical Research is home to more than 450 internationally recognised biomedical researchers and clinician scientists who are dedicated to transforming lives through breakthrough scientific discovery.

With the largest grouping of inflammation researchers in Australia, Hudson Institute has been supporting the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic by rapidly undertaking research to address the dangerous levels of inflammation caused by SARS-CoV-2.

Hudson Institute is located within a major translational research and medical innovation hub in Melbourne’s south-eastern corridor. Our Precinct partners are Monash Health | Monash Children’s | Monash Newborn | Monash University.

Hudson Institute has a strong record for research that is highly translational and commercially valuable. In the past three years, the Institute’s business development program has resulted in the spinout of three Biotech companies and a further 40 commercial partnerships with industry.
